I'M ANG NELSON
I’m an elementary school principal, a mom to two teenagers, and a lifelong Coon Rapids neighbor.
My roots here run deep, from biking to the Coon Rapids Dam and eating burgers at Shortstop as a kid to raising my own family just down the road from where my grandparents built their home in 1959.

I’m already in our community every day, in the grocery store, at high school sports, and at community events, listening to families about rising costs, burnout in our schools, and the challenges of making everything work.
​
I’ve spent my career in public education creating schools where students belong and are set up to succeed. I’m running for the Minnesota State Senate because our community deserves a leader who listens, shows up, and puts people over politics.

are used responsibly.

I believe everyone deserves dignity, safety, and respect at every stage of life. I’ll stand up for seniors, people with disabilities, and communities that too often get left behind and overlooked.
